Lauren Shields is the Head of Technical Solutions Consulting at Benchling. After receiving her BS in Biology at MIT, she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research at the Université de Lausanne in Switzerland. Lauren went on to attain her PhD at UCSF, working in the Nakamura lab at Gladstone Institutes. After completing her PhD, Lauren joined Benchling as one of its earliest employees and has helped shape the customer experience organization, lead the technical solutions consulting function, and support the progress of countless biotech companies.
